There are people who say the belt lasts nearly forever and there are people who've snapped the belt at around 30000 miles. If and when you need to change it (and you could change it at the side of the road except the front pulley nut is bloody tight) you could go for cheaper alternatives. Bando catalog, or any other that I know of, doesn't list an exact replacement. Closest thing you can find has 135 teeth. You need to make minor mods to swingarm ends to get the proper tightness as the belt is slightly longer but the belt profile is generic. Most belt manufacturers offer at least 2 versions, standard and reinforced. Go for the better version if it isn't thicker than your original belt. There's not a lot of excess space around the front pulley.
Even badly cracked belt lasts surprisingly well at a steady space. I snapped mine when pulling away from the lights very smoothly right after riding 100 miles at 65mph.
